Summer snack favorites you have to try this year!

If you are anything like me you probably read snacks and was like where and I soooo get that!

I have been doing some experimenting and have come to find some quick yummy and healthy snacks to enjoy while also enjoying the sun.

I am in my second trimester and am hungry like ALL the time lately!

I thought I was hungry before I was pregnant HA yeah right, so with some personal research I found out that the baby’s appetite when born is based on what I eat while being pregnant! so EAT THOSE VEGGIES mama!

Veggies aren’t really an issue for me it is just a matter of eating them instead of my beloved cheez -its uh anyone else?

Bell peppers are good and usually when you buy the prepped veggie trays those usually are included.

Lets talk about Hummus!

Recently I have been using hummus as an alternative to the famous french onion dip and can I say I actually prefer it!

Hummus is made from chick peas and is a healthier option compared to those yummy but full of sugar flavor dips.

My favorite right now is red pepper hummus which I purchase from Aldi!

Berries!

Rasberries, blueberries, strawberries soooo many berries! Berries are one of the best source of antioxidants.

According to https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/301506

Antioxidants can protect against cell damage caused by free radicals also known as oxidative stress. Activities that lead to oxidative stress include excessive exercise, smoking (vaping) common things in modern day.

I enjoy going into my fridge grabbing a fruit container and almost instantly be able to pop a berry in my mouth.

Knowing the benefits of such a quick and easy snack that ACTUALLY tastes good and is all natural makes eating this snack even more enjoyable!

Last but certainly NOT least is a new fav I discovered for myself. (If you like chips keep reading) You have to try these if only one time!

Nacho flavor cauliflower chips with cassava!

Oh my goodness! The thing about cassava is it is a root vegetable acorrding to https://www.verywellhealth.com/the-benefits-of-cassava-88619 the root is rich in vitamin C.

Vitamin C is great for immunity boost. This rich root is also a source of carbohydrates, that said it is a much better alternative to potato chips and I actually prefer them to the famous Doritos brand nacho flavored.

Definitely worth adding to your grocery list!
